A bit of history- The Lorella Garden in Vacciago surrounds the historic Casa Lorella residence dating back to 1600. The Lorella Garden is an enormous lush park overlooking the shores of one of the most evocative Italian lakes: Lake Orta, nestled between the mountains and a very popular tourist destination.
The beautiful Lorella Garden is full of wonders and over the years it has been embellished with enchanting plants and flowers, offering a unique panorama in the world, thanks also to the evocative views of the clear waters of Lake Orta. A mild and sunny climate has favored the luxuriant growth of centuries-old plants and flower beds.
What to see- It is nice to immerse yourself in a botanical journey in the Lorella Garden, a 2.5 hectare English garden adorned with centuries-old trees, including a chestnut tree over 600 years old, in fact already in the historical maps of the 15th century it was indicated to travelers as a point of reference when crossing the area.
The Lorella Garden was recently opened to the public and a path has been set up that allows a complete tour of the park among chestnut trees, cedars of Lebanon, oaks, centuries-old beech trees, holm oaks and bushes of colorful flowers: rhododendrons, camellias, azaleas, hydrangeas and rose.
